Some brides know what colours they want for that Special Day – if you are one of those who have no idea yet keep reading for some ideas.
With the greater colour choice for brides in modern bridal designs choosing the colours for your wedding can be more complex. Whereas White and Ivory co-ordinate well with all colours if your gown is Gold or Pink or even Green or Grey the choice could be more of a headache!
Try thinking about the season and feel you want for your wedding. Colours that look great in summer sunshine can look washed out in winter, while a formal wedding lends itself to classic combinations and an informal wedding can have more ‘wacky’ colours.
Brides commonly choose 3 colours for their wedding, 2 main ones and an accent. These can be used in every part of the ceremony and reception or just as elements, go with what you want but don’t let keeping to your colour choice become stressful!
The suggestions I have chosen are grouped under seasons, as with any ideas remember the choice is yours.
Lends itself well to fresh colour combinations:

Use classic combinations and vibrant colours:

Take inspiration from the changing colours in nature:

Here you could go for ice colours, make sure they are crisp though, or warm darker colours

Each of the colour combinations can have a multitude of effects depending on the shade of colours you choose, after all we all know that blue comes in a huge range of shades as do many of the other colours I have chosen.
i am getting married in may. my wedding colours are peach, orange and black . how do i combine the colurs for the bridesamids and guys
My wedding is June of 2011, I'm having cobalt blue bridesmaid dresses but I can't decide on what colours for the flowers. I was thinking either white&yellow or bright pink. What do you think?
I love cobalt/royal blue with yellow for a spring wedding, pink would be good for a summers day and white would be classic all year round. Do you have an favourite flowers? You could look at the colours they are available in to help you decide.
Hi there. I'm going for teal, ivory and gold for my colours. Can you suggest a brighter colour to use too? Many thanks
Am getting married in Spring and think of using purple, lilac and soft pink.
do you think the combination is good. my fiance is wearing sky blue shirt and grooms men wearing pink shirt, how do i combine it for my maid of honour and brides maid?
please help.
I WOULD CHOOSE BLACK WHITE AND METALIC GREY/SILVER
I am getting married in late February 2010. Do you think that black and blue is a good colour combination? Whiach should be the dominant colour, black or blue?
As long as the blue is either royal, turquoise or baby so it contrasts with the blask I think it will work. Personally I think keeping the main colour as the black with a sash and bouquets in blue would be great if your bridesmaids are adults.
[p]For the reception try mixing the 2 so alternate chair sashes or each table alternating between blue and black./[p]i'm getting married in october this year with the following colors in mind: peach, orange and yellow. which do you think should be the dominant color, and which should be the accent? thank you!
I would suggest using the Orange as this could link well to anAutumn theme. So Burnt Orange bridesmaids dresses with sash or accessories in the peach or yellow and then, if you are having them, chair sashes alternating with the three colours would look great. Mixed bouquets for the bridesmaids and perhaps all deep orange for you.
